Race Strategy and Planning
Ultras can feel overwhelming, but you don’t need to navigate them alone. We’ll help you with pacing strategies, nutrition, gear choices, drop bags, and everything in between. You’ve done the hard work in training — we’ll make sure nothing gets in the way of your race.
Periodisation
Strong performances don’t happen by accident. Training is structured in phases so you’re building endurance, strength, and resilience at the right times. We’ll guide you through the year so you arrive at the start line confident and ready.
Communication
Progress comes from connection. We’ll check in regularly — by Zoom, phone, or your training app — so you’re never left guessing. Big or small, if something’s off, we’ll adjust quickly. Open communication keeps your training effective and enjoyable.

know Bernard
I’ve always been passionate about the outdoors and about helping people find a healthier, more fulfilling way of living.
For over 30 years I worked as a Mechanical Engineer, but the real pull has always been in supporting others — watching people achieve things they never thought possible. That’s what led me here.
Why coaching? Because there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing friends, family, and athletes surprise themselves with what they can do.
Sport has always been part of my life, often as a way to connect with others. One day my wife suggested, “You should train — you might be surprised at what you can achieve.” She was right. That single comment started a journey I’ve never looked back from.
Not everything has gone perfectly along the way — and that’s the point. The lessons, the setbacks, the moments of joy… they all shaped who I am today. And it’s those experiences I bring to coaching: empathy, resilience, and a genuine belief that anyone can achieve more than they imagine.

Hydration and sodium loss are common causes of cramping and fatigue — but everyone’s sweat profile is different. That’s why we offer hDrop Gen 2 sweat testing to take the guesswork out.
The hDrop sensor sits on your arm while you exercise, measuring your sweat rate and electrolyte loss. From this, we can give you personalised recommendations for fluid and electrolyte replacement — helping you perform stronger, recover faster, and stay in control on race day
